Advanced Life Support (ALS 108)

Course Description

The Advanced Life Support course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel working in public or healthcare environments to know the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, how to perform CPR, give high quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, recognizing and intervening life threatening emergencies, and post-cardiac arrest care among other skills and knowledge. This course takes a more advanced and in-depth look at cardiovascular interventions beyond that of Basic Life Support (BLS), and is suited for hospital or in-patient facilities or first-responder events. This hybrid course is intended to be flexible for the student, with an initial online learning component and an in-person final assessment. This course can be completed in as little as 2* or at most 5 weeks.
